Lady Buddha in Son Tra Peninsula
The Lady Buddha statue, officially known as the Statue of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, is located on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, Vietnam. Standing at 67 meters tall, it is the tallest statue of a woman in Vietnam and overlooks the South China Sea. The statue is situated on Linh Ung Pagoda, surrounded by beautiful gardens and stunning views of the coastline. Visitors often come to pray for peace, luck, and health.
Marble Mountains and Hell Cave
The Marble Mountains, known as “Ngũ Hành Sơn,” are a cluster of five limestone and marble hills located just outside Da Nang. Each mountain is named after one of the five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The area features a range of caves, tunnels, and pagodas. One notable site is the Hell Cave (Hỏa Linh Cave), which is famous for its striking formations and has a shrine dedicated to the spirits of the deceased.
