Tâboo Bamboo Workshop Program

Born and raised in a family with three generations that have a deep passion for bamboo and that make a living by building houses from this kind of tree for years.

We would like to continue to maintain the traditional handicraft of our family and strengthen the importance and the value of bamboo even in modern times so that the old technologies will not be forgotten.

At Taboo Bamboo Workshop you will be surprised and excited to see all the different household facilities and things that we have created out of bamboo and that we use in our house. Take them home with you as a souvenir and enjoy this long lasting experience.

For: All levels of skills are welcomed to participated except children under 5 years old. A group limited up to 30 people.

Where: Taboo Bamboo Workshop located in nipa palm forest at Cam Thanh village, Hoi An.

Welcome and sharing time: Mr Tan, a local bamboo artisan and a owner of Taboo Bamboo will welcome you and share:

* How people use bamboo in Vietnam.

* Bamboo as sustainable material

* Traditional bamboo house in Vietnam and Cam Thanh village

* Bamboo facilities and things are made out of bamboo.

* Special technique to treat bamboo in Cam Thanh village

* Story of his family with 3 generations have deep passion for bamboo.

Creative time:

* Time to choose items to make

* Get general instruction.

* Time to make the souvenir by your own with help of facilitators.

* Drawing your memories on the products.

* Wrap up with sharing your thought
